# How do I complete the Speaking Assessment?

Important tips before completing your assessment!

* You will need an assessment credit to complete the assessment (they are $10 USD each and can be purchased from your profile)
* Check that you have a working microphone connected to your computer
* Complete the assessment in a quiet environment with no distractions as you will be speaking out loud!

**Instructions on how to complete the Speaking Assessment**

1. Go to your profile photo in the top right corner and click ‘[My Profile](https://app.heylady.io/account/profile)’.
2. Scroll down until you see the English Speaking Level section.
3. Click “Start Assessment”
4. If you have a ‘test credit’ available, you can take the test at no extra charge.
5. If you do not have a ‘test credit’, you will need to purchase one.
6. A video with step-by-step instructions will let you know exactly what to expect.

At the end of the assessment, you will receive a report that includes:

* Your overall score and level
* Five (5) individual scores: Grammar, Vocabulary, Pronunciation, Fluency and Coherence
* Things you can do to improve
