# How do I write an article?

The Memberzine is where *Hey Lady!* members share their stories, experiences, and reflections in English. Writing an article is a wonderful way to practise your English and connect with other women in the community.

Here is how to write and publish your article.

1. **Go to the Memberzine**
Visit the Memberzine area here: [https://app.heylady.io/memberzine/featured](https://app.heylady.io/memberzine/featured)

2. **Click "Write Article"**
You will find this button at the top of the Memberzine page, under Featured articles.

3. **Add a cover image**
Upload a cover image that represents your article. Please make sure your image is high quality and saved as a .jpg or .png file.

4. **Give your article a title**
Write a short, descriptive title for your article. It could be a question or the key idea you want to explore.

5. **Write your article**
Type your article in the text box. Please note that *Hey Lady!* publishes articles of **300 words or above**, so make sure your article is long enough before submitting.
Use the formatting options in the toolbar to add bold text, bullet points, or other styling if you need to.

6. **Attach a file (optional)**
If you would like to include a file with your article, select **Yes, please!**
If not, leave it on **No, thanks!**

7. **Choose your article category**
Select what your article is about:
* **Hey Lady! Topic** - choose this if your article relates to one of our monthly Conversation Topics. Select the relevant topic.
* **My personal interests -** for anything else you would like to share
* **My English journey** - for stories about your experience learning and speaking English

8. **Save or publish your article**
You have two options:
* **Save as draft** - saves your article so you can come back and finish it later
* **Confirm & Publish** - submits your article for publishing
