# I'm unable to create events. I don't see the "Create Event" button.

Can't create events? It might be because you haven't completed all the onboarding steps in the Getting Started checklist yet! By completing this, not only will you unlock the "Create Events" feature but you'll also be able to see our full event list, join [Live Coffee Tables](https://helpdesk.heylady.io/en/article/live-coffee-tables-feature-qbftmo/), and start [instant video calls](https://helpdesk.heylady.io/en/article/how-do-i-start-an-instant-video-call-with-someone-1u8pzq0/)!)

1. **Learn the Hey Lady! Way**

Watch 4 short videos and learn all about the *Hey Lady!* Way, our values and joining events

2. **Get verified**

To keep our community safe, we do not allow anyone to join video calls or chat with other members until they've been verified. Record a short video introducing yourself to get verified within 24 hours.

3. **Take the quiz**

Review what you learned in the videos!

4. **Complete your profile**

Your profile is where you can share a little about yourself and help you match with other members and suitable speaking partners.


It's important to complete your profile in as much detail as possible! When ladies are deciding which event to attend - and they don't know the host - they will often check the host's profile page to learn more about them. Having a short story that expresses something about who you are, your interests or values builds trust and helps others get to know you a little.
