I see a black screen when trying to screenshare. What should I do?

If you can see a black screen when sharing your screen during an event, this is usually caused by a setting in your browser called hardware acceleration. Turning this off should fix the problem.

Follow the steps below for your browser.

Google Chrome

1. Open Chrome and click the three dots in the top right corner
2. Select Settings
3. Scroll down to the System section
4. Turn off Use hardware acceleration when available
5. Restart Chrome
6. Rejoin your event and try again

Firefox

1. Open Firefox and click the three lines in the top right corner
2. Select Settings
3. Scroll down to the Performance section
4. Uncheck the box next to Use hardware acceleration when available
5. Restart Firefox
6. Rejoin your event and try again
