How do I complete the Speaking Assessment?

Important tips before completing your assessment!

• You will need an assessment credit to complete the assessment (they are $10 USD each and can be purchased from your profile)
• Check that you have a working microphone connected to your computer
• Complete the assessment in a quiet environment with no distractions as you will be speaking out loud!

Instructions on how to complete the Speaking Assessment

1. Go to your profile photo in the top right corner and click ‘My Profile’.
2. Scroll down until you see the English Speaking Level section.
3. Click “Start Assessment”
4. If you have a ‘test credit’ available, you can take the test at no extra charge.
5. If you do not have a ‘test credit’, you will need to purchase one.
6. A video with step-by-step instructions will let you know exactly what to expect.

At the end of the assessment, you will receive a report that includes:

• Your overall score and level
• Five (5) individual scores: Grammar, Vocabulary, Pronunciation, Fluency and Coherence
• Things you can do to improve
