  • How do I create an event? How to host an event?
    All Hey Lady! Community Members are able to host their own conversation events on the platform and it's easy! Just go to the Events section, click the 'Create Event' button on the top right corner and follow the steps. You can create group or 1:1 events, public or private. You can invite your friends or host events to meet and get to know new friends! Host book circles, study groups, karaoke or film clubs - you are limited only by your imagination! Members muPopular
  • Where do I find my Event drafts?
    You find all of your incomplete, unpublished events by going to My Events, and selecting Event Drafts from the pictured drop-down. This section is where you can finish publishing your event(s) or delete them.Few readers

  • What does UTC mean? Do I need to convert the time shown?
    UTC stands for Coordinated Universal Time, a standard used to set all time zones around the world (the world is divided into roughly 24 time zones) Think of it like the "centre" of our timekeeping, with all time zones referenced in relation to how far ahead of, or far behind, UTC they are.   • How big are the class sizes? What is the maximum number of participants?
    There is no limit to how many ladies can join the events run by our Coaching or Community Team but on average there are 20 participants. Speaking events like Conversation Starters, Daily Speaking Practice and Workshops are usually run using breakout rooms, where after the host has introduced the context for discussion, you'll be placed into small groups of 2 or 3 to practise speaking. Listen-only events do not use breakout rooms, they're usually webinars where you'll be watching a Coach or HostFew readers

  • How do I add Hey Lady! events to a different Google Calendar?
    Only one Gmail account can be connected at a time so that you can add events to your Google Calendar. If you've already connected your Hey Lady! account to one and want to change to a different Google Calendar account, you must remove your current account first. There are 2 ways to do this: METHOD 1.     We're a global community inside Hey Lady! so you can expect to see events and live lessons running across all time zones, around the clock!     All of the events inside the Hey Lady! platform are shown in your local time zone. The time we use is based on the clock settings on your computer or mobile so it’s important that they're set accurately.     When you edit your event such as a change in date or time, your participants (those who have clicked 'I will attend') will be notified by email or notifications - depending on their notification settings. If you would like to send a group message to your participants, you can tag @participants, select participants (Tag Event Participants) and write your note in the comments section of the event.     On our Events page, you can narrow down and find specific events. These icons on the All Events page lets you quickly see events based on coach evevnts, duration, group study, listen only and in-person events.   • Can I join an event as a listener only?
    If you are feeling nervous about joining your first conversation event, you may join as a listener. We ask you to only join events that our team (Coaches or Community Managers) are hosting as a listener and to send them a message beforehand to let them know that you are only listening. Out of respect for members on the platform, do not attend events hosted by other members if you are only going to listen. Often there are limited spaces at these events, so please help the host to have active parFew readers
  • What are the different events I can attend?
    There are many different types of events that you can attend inside Hey Lady! - some are hosted by our Coaches, some by our Community Team and others by our members!
