At Hey Lady!, we don't teach these skills, but we do provide you with opportunities to practise all of the speaking skills that are assessed in the exam. Our Conversation Packs are our unique way of teaching and experiencing English at Hey Lady! Each month we focus on one conversation topic. When we are all talking about the same one, it helps us to be on the same page and practise using similar vocabulary! The Deep Dive lesson helps guide you to have a deep and thought-provoking conversation about our topic. They are designed to help you host your own conversations with other members. The lesson is simple to follow. First, you watch a video of your Coaches having a conversation, so you get to observe a similar conversation as it’s happening. Then you can complete the workbook which will help you think about the topic and prepare for your own event, or find one to join by using the Deep Dive filFew readersDo you teach American or British English?
We are an Australian company, and our founder, Emma, is from Australia. Because of this, the lessons, emails, and content will use British English grammar and spelling rules (as is common in Australia). However, our coaching and community team come from around the world and we believe it's very important to experience the different Englishes used around the world. Hey Lady! has been designed to help you improve your English skills and become a more confident speaker. Lessons are designed to help you learn vocabulary, practise pronunciation, and prepare language for your next conversation. With each new Conversation Topic comes a Daily Practice Tracker and it's a great resource to help any member know what to do each day. Inside the Hey Lady! community, we don’t teach Business English classes specifically but we offer a personalised coaching program that helps women communicate effectively in the workplace, English For Work!
